Rain didn’t dampen spirits at the Paspaley Polo in the City held Saturday 16th November in Centennial Park Sydney. The signature yellow of the Paspaley VIP marquee gave a bird's eye view of the polo action. While Land Rover’s polo ambassador Ruki Baillieu, one of Australia’s highest rated international polo players, with a handicap of 8 led all eyes on the field. The Paspaley pearl jewellery was donned by the colourfully dressed while they enjoyed the canapés and oysters, and some Veuve Clicquot bubbly on the cocktail bar recycled shipping container deck.

Once again, the Paspaley VIP marquee took centre stage, this year dressed with New York style awnings and topiary hedges, and featuring a gallery of Paspaley pearl jewellery and glamorous Megan Hess illustrations. Cleverly recycled shipping containers were converted into a seafood bar serving Paspaley pearl meat canapés and oysters, a cocktail bar on the deck and the penthouse, where guests enjoyed a bird’s eye view of the polo action.
Veuve Clicquot added a twist to the day with the launch of their 50’s diner “Clicquot Airstream”, complete with gorgeous waitresses dressed in Clicquot yellow uniforms. The Airstream trailer is an innovative “party on wheels” combining art, food and fun in an aerodynamic, 50s-style design. With a Clicquot bicycle, Clicquot fans, umbrellas and appropriately Clicquot gumboots, the Veuve Clicquot fixture was a hot spot at the polo. Joining in the fun and barracking for the Clicquot team on field were Michael Dorman, Nikki Phillips & Dane Rumble, Laura Csortan & Chris Joannou, Daimon Downey & Georgia Gorman, Sally Obermeder and Adene Cassidy.
